» SandyMcC - Hi Travis!

Hey, thanks for posting this piece! I've been reading a lot about screen writing lately, and even turned down a job helping someone turn their book into a screen play because I'm inexperienced. Maybe I can turn them on to you. I look forward to more of your work, and I'm subscribing!

» JudyBrown - Great topic!

Hi Travis,

I just did a review of Final Draft Software and am just getting my toes wet in this form of writing. Everyone says how my short stories sound like plays so I don't think I will do the screenwriting thing but I am trying to turn some short stories into plays.

I think your topic will be helpful to me too. Thanks for the great links!

» A1_Viking - Hi and welcome, Travis.

Hi and welcome, Travis. I write short stories and am working on a children's book - well, no actually - that's a lie. I have been working on a children's book - but right now I'm indulging in a little creative procrastination! smile I've not thought of screenwriting, and as I write this, I've no intentions of heading that way, but a little voice kept saying "subscribe! subscribe!" So I did! smile Look forward to more.
Bye
Donna

Welcome to the Suite, Travis. I don't exactly qualify as beginner(see my profile) but I think there's a need for your topic and want to help it thrive (so I'm subscribed).

Best of luck!

Shan

» Scribe4u - Welcome, Travis !!

Wow !! I have a book in me that I also see as a movie. As I was packing for my big move next month, I was going over in my head what it would take to turn the book into a screenplay. Well, that stopped me right in my tracks. I know absolutely nothing about writing screenplays. But I remembered seeing you under New Topics so here I am. I've subscribed and look forward to this -- daunting? -- process you describe and learning something smile

Welcome, Travis. I'm a newbie too.
