Poutine - hmm. Sounds pretty fattening. But I bet it does go with a good beer. All the other places and beers sound like winners, too, Paul.
Give me a hot dog anyday - I'm mad about them.

Anyway, this sounds like a wonderful way to spend your time. Guess you just do it and don't worry about the pounds, or else you work out after such hearty fare and beer! Now this is living!

» MrLion - Poutine and Other Food Groups

Poutine, like New York-style cheesecake or a slab of Kansas City-style ribs, falls into the category special-occasion indulgences.

It helps that Toronto is a good walking town in the summer, and that our favorite hotel has a swimming pool.

Here's my question: If poutine, beer, and sausages are three basic food groups in a Toronto pub crawl, what logically would be the fourth?

In response to message posted by MrLion:

The fourth would be sports: particularily hockey. When our Buds are on the ice - you cannot have it any better.

We can only hope that some semblance of normalcy will return to North America in time for the upcoming NHL season.

Last year, the season-opening "Hockey Night in Canada" and an Oktoberfest on draft went together perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by, and keep up the good work as Toronto's ambassador to Suite101!
