What an interesting name for a B&B!

I was in Cozumel last fall (a cruise) but didn't get a chance to stay long. I would love to visit any of these places if I could. You did some great research, Vickie.

Thanks Jerri,

It seems a few more B&B's have been established since the last time I researched Mexico but there are still many areas that do not offer this type of accommodation.

I can only imagine lounging away the afternoon in the quiet atmosphere of the tropical gardens surrounding the courtyard at one of these charming locations, sipping something cool and refreshing, then taking a nice siesta. ahhhh....

» vborey - Casa San Juan

I believe this is the same B & B in Merida that I visited for lunch a few years ago. It was beautiful and the service was amazing. I had such a great time in the Yucatan and would highly recommend Merida to anyone interested in seeing more than the beaches in Mexico. There's a lot of culture there. Thanks for a great article!

» goddessdemaya - So many more!

I live here and can't believe this author only mentioned these 2 B&B's!! Sure, Casa San Juan is lovely. But so is Casa Mexilio, Hotel MedioMundo, Luz En Yucatan, Hacienda Santa Cruz, and many many others. There are so many interesting, lovely, historic, quirky, and different places in Merida and the surrounding area. In addition to the ones mentioned above, there's Hotel Trinidad Galeria (www.hotelestrinidad.com, not to be confused with the *other* Trinidad, which isn't bad either), there's the guest house at Hacienda Yaxcopoil, there's the very expensive Haciendas Petac, Temozon, Santa Rosa, etc. or the very reasonable Hacienda Yunku (see it at www.luzenyucatan.com). It just seems like the author didn't do a whole lot of research.

There's also two other lovely hostels, besides the Nameless Place: Nomadas and the Nest Hostel. There's also a new hostel right on the Zocalo, on the south end. It doesn't have a website, but its very cheap, you sleep in hammocks, and the view and location can't be beat.

» slang101 - Lovely B&B's in Mazatlan

Nice article. Let me suggest that you look into adding links to http://mazliving.com where several very nice lodgings are listed, all in the Historic Downtown of Mazatlan.
