Rise up against who?
This archived discussion is "read only".
» HL11 - Rise up against who? I do not think the Baha'i faith can be used to justify in any way the acts of either side. USA have clearly waged a war of econimical exploitation for years against everybody who do not agree whit their policy and play by their rules. In Irak tousands of children is dying a slow death because they do not have food or medicine. This is because of economic sanctions.Read the passage again and you will find out that this might also be classified as a wepon and an act of war. In fact when you are killing thousands of children that might actually be classified as genoside. And if the governments should rise up - who should they rise up against? Lets pretend for a moment that this act of terror was in Afganistan. Imagine Taliban going to U.S and claiming that those responsible for it should be handed over. What if Bush sais then, OK maybe, but first I have to see some evidence against those you say are guilty. Imagine Taliban ignoring these requests and reply by saying; If you do not do as we say we will destry you. Then Bush says; please do not jump to any conclusions lets sit down and talk first. Imagine Taliban ignoring this too saying these are just attempts to prolong USA's ultimat faith. My point is; how can the world rise up against anyone whitout any evidence of who they should rise up against? Best regards -- posted by HL11 » justin_credible - Re: Rise up against who? In response to message posted by HL11:Hadi, It was not my intention to use the Baha'i Faith to justify the acts of any government. I believe that Baha'u'llah revealed this concept as one that would become the agreed upon response once the nations of the world came to a greater unification then we see today. Through out my life time, there have been many actions of the US Government. That said, I do believe that one of the primary duties of the US Government is to protect and defend the homefront. I understand your concern about the use of economics as a weapon. That said, I do not believe that the Iraqi Government is completely blameless in the plight of the people of that country. I also believe that there are many Islamic Governments that have the economic capabilities to provide relief. While I agree that evidence is important, and, if available, should be presented to the UN and that the party or parties responsible should be tried by a world court. I do believe that the incidents of Sept 11th were an act of war against the US. If the agressors would have the power of their convictions to stand up and admit their part in the attack, the there would be no question as to who the enemy is. They have not. If the US was the big bad bullie that may say it is, it would have used any and all means at its desposal to retaliate against the parties it believe responsible and not cared what the rest of the world thought. It has not. -- posted by justin_credible
