We are among the lucky ones. Since we live in the land of the 10,000 lakes, our birds seldom run out of fresh water. We even have a small pond in our back yard that attracts lots of red-wing blackbirds and a few egrets.

Speaking of egrets, do you have any idea of why geese leave our egrets alone? The geese are very territorial. The egrets don't look agressive, but all the other birds on our pond still leave them alone.
