» scuba_steve - Backpacking James,Welcome to Suite101! I am glad to see your topic. I started backpacking one year ago. I have been on two overnight backpacking trips and loved them both. I am currently in the beginning stages of planning another trip for late September/early October. I am a nature lover and backpacking is the ultimate way to experience the beauty and peacefulness of nature. I enjoyed your first article very much and found myself nodding in agreement as I read it. As a backpacking beginner I have a lot to learn and look forward to learning a lot from your writing. I have subscribed to your topic and look forward to your next article. -- posted by scuba_steve » desertblue - welcome! In response to message posted by scuba_steve:Yes, it's wonderful to see this topic has been picked up. I'm a backpacking freak, and have recently taken up Fastpacking and the ultra-light credo, myself. I agree with your points and am looking forward to reading more articles from you! Come over and visit my topic at Southwest Outdoors...we should share ideas -- posted by desertblue » CulinaryJen - Re: Backpacking In response to message posted by scuba_steve:Welcome to Suite 101! I am the manager to the Food and Drink Community. In an effort to provide my readers with other articles not available through our community, and in an effort to help other topics, I try and post a food related article from other topics in my Bulletin section. If Backpacking ever has an article about food, please let me know, and I will post the article in my Community! Again, welcome to Suite 101! Jennifer A. Wickes -- posted by CulinaryJen
