» Red - great info...

Kristen,

It's been some time since I've visited your site, as I've been on a leave of absence from the Suite. However, I am glad that I'm back and was able to access this article. It has a lot of great info. Names can be tricky. Manuscripts can be rejected because character's names don't fit the story line.

Thanks for doing such a great job with this one. Now when I'm stuck for a name, I know exactly where to look.

Thanks, Mary! My computer's been on the fritz, so I am finally getting a chance to catch up. I'm glad the article was of use. Goodness knows I find myself struggling to find the perfect names for characters on a fairly frequent basis, and I figured there were likely others out there with the same crisis.

In response to message posted by Kristen Cardozo :Kristen,

I made my way back here looking for a name from the early 1800's. I'm working on a historical novel and just couldn't come up with a name that I thought was appropriate. The heroine's name is Sarah, the heroe's Jesse. I don't want a run of the mill name, but am looking for something a bit different. Glad you posted these links. I've used them several times in the last couple of days.
