'Gestalt Perception' in Autism: Superability or Deficit?Read the article this discussion is about

» melautistin - Thanks. Thanks. While I think Uta Frith's central coherence theory (and in fact, most of her theories) have several holes in it, the rest of the article is something I could well end up printing out to explain things to various people who work with me. The description of how gestalt perception works, and how it differs from some other kinds of perception, puts my perceptions in words in ways I could not before. I won't know for awhile how well it puts them into words, but I do know it does so far better than any words I've tried yet.-- posted by melautistin
