Each sensory channel can be affected in a different way, e.g., a child can be hypovisual, hyperauditory, hypo to taste, etc. Besides, often one and the same person can experience sensory inputs of one and the same channel at different times differently because the intensity the channels work often fluctuate. A child who appears deaf on one occasion may overreact to a light auditory stimulus on the other occasion, etc.
