Ah yes, the old Ford Falcon......... When I was stationed in Oklahoma back in the sixties, there used to be an outlaw drag strip near the base which had once been an airport. There were some bad machines there, the Corvettes, the 427 Ford Galaxies, the GTO's, etc. One particular vehicle blew them all away, hands down. A '64 Falcon Futura with the 289 high performance engine and a big Holley four barrel carb. It was an awesome street machine. The only car that I ever heard of beating it was a Cobra, and that happened on Route 66, not on the drag strip.
