» aqua - petunias

Im looking desperately for a petunia variety called SURFINA. This particular one is a trailing, cascading variety which I have first seen a couple of years ago in Europe. Has anybody heard of this variety and can tell me, if it is available in Australia and where available for purchase???
Im looking forward hearing from you.
Thank you,
Aqua

Hi there in Western Australia

I'm not sure where you might find surfinias in your area. They are part of a very popular bedding plant program called Proven Winners though, so you will probably find them fairly easily each spring in garden centres.

Here's some info on Surfinias so you can read about them in the meantime. I'm sure John will be able to tell you whether or not they are available in Australia.

» JohnB_32 - petunias - surfina

Dear Aqua

I have researched info about surfina or surfinia.
Apparently it could quite well have another name in Australia. Perhaps if you could describe the flower and/or the leaf in a little more detail we may be able to help further.

Thanks very much for your interest, I will keep trying to find out more about the subject.

Regards

John

» JohnB_32 - petunias called Surfina

Dear Aqua

The name surfina is apparently a proprietary name and the company/organisation who use that name may be found by referring to plant wholesalers. I will have a try in Perth and see if I can find out a little bit more about who/where it comes from.

Thanks
John
