That's true in so far as that's the way he got started in his climb for power. That's why I said that people like Wendell are such dangerous persons. Once they get into positions of power, you can kiss your ass goodbye unless you bow to their system of belief. Then, you might as well have kissed it goodbye because it will have belonged to them.

That's what happened in Nazi Germany. By the time they figured out that "Church, Children and Kitchen" was just a slogan to suck the gullible in, it was too late. Hitler had become the knight in shinning armor to all the conservatives. Liberals were sent to concentration camps where they either worked for the cause or they were starved to death. No fat people were found among the piles of rotting corpses in those camps.
