» Pinky102 - Excellent Article
This is an excellent artice.I remember sitting in class during my first week of college with pad and pencil doing a simple empirical exercise looking around the room and listing what was observable.
I agree with everything you've written with the exception that you appear to have thrown all Christians in the same bag of ignorance. I don't think you can support that allegation and I wish you would try to differentiate those who are stuck in the mud of ancient tribalism and those of us who are reaching into the future for more complete understanding of what has been, so far, the unknown.

» H2O - Lutheran scientists
To be sure there was a period of Church history where scientific observation and discovery were virtually unknown and superstition ruled. But that changed with the Renaissance and, in Germany, the Reformation. Many of the concepts of astronomy and agronomy were the result of believing Lutherans observing the world around them and using scientific methodology. Johannes Kepler comes to mind as well as Lars Levi Laestadius (http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/luth...John

» spiritalk - Very Interesting Article
Like all writers, you have considered the scientific minds that confirm your hypothesis. There is proof that the brain is NOT the mind, nor vice versa. The mind operates through all functions of the body, separate and distinct from the brain. The proof of this is found in many studies done on those with brain damage, while they still function in a material world.
