Uhmm.. actually, Wikipedia is not a dictionary!.... But, I suppose you do not read the fine print that is clearly visible on the main page, and on the first line
...
however, not to push ya too hard.. I actually like Wikipedia myself.... but... its not a dicitonary nor an Encyclopedia...
so, happy surfing....
Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit
ps>> Good links Kim!...
ppss>> Oh.. and Hawknuts... you left out several portions of the definiton of FAITH from Dictionary.com.... (as usual)...lol.. #4, 5, and 6.....
In fact, what you quoted appears to censored: For it continues: "Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See Synonyms at belief. See Synonyms at trust.
#4 Faith
often Faith Christianity. The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God's will.
Synonyms, belief and Trust....??.... Hmmm... Lettuce consider your definition, and see if it is indeed, logical - as TP has claimed:
"Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence"
A sensible question for Hawknuts: True or False
The closer you get to heat, the colder it gets?..

I sure do. I'm always on the look out for funny pictures or videos. I believe Strange Cosmos.com is the best source for funny photos.
If you want to see some of my favorites, plus family and hobby pictures, check out my homepage (a link is available on my bio). You'll finally get to see who I am.![]()
I also love optical illusions. This is the best site IMO:

Salad Fingers's adventures reminds me of what goes on in my mind, BTW. I'm a little bit twisted and disturbed.

» capricorn77X - The seven questions that creationists cannot answer (I)
Growing up as a ministers son I have seen a lot of things in my life that cannot be discounted as just chance and has proved to me and many thousands of people that God does exist. My personal accounts of a "Supreme Being" (GOD)has been and will always be in control of everything. It is a "No Brainer" to understand that man cannot create a sperm or an egg. He can put the 2 together but not create that "Spark" of life. If you take all the water from the body, all you have left is dirt which is basically what the bible says in Genesis that "God breathed life into". Mankind has searched for many years to find the so called "Missing Link" and has yet to, so if we evolved from something that crawled out of the ocean, there would be some kind of fossil record of it (Which there is not). In my life I have personally witnessed many healings and answers to prayers to God. I will give a couple of instances. The first was at a revival meeting at a little church my dad pastored in Virginia in a healing service. There was a little girl about 5 years old that had one leg about 3 inches shorter than the other and walked with a special made shoe with the sole very thick so she would not have such a bad limp. Rev. Jimmy Pittman was the evangelist and with the girl sitting with her back against the seat and her father holding her legs straight out in front of her, you could see the deformity. The elders of the church gathered around her and Brother Pittman anointed her with oil and with the prayers of all there, we all watched as "GODS" Healing Power caused her short leg to grow out even with the other one within less than a minute. This can be documented by anyone in the community and her Doctor (if he's still alive) as this was approx 1966-1968, I dont remember for sure but I know I was between 8 and 10 years old at the time. Another instance was when I was about 5 years old, I had been born with asthma and had spent alot of time at the doctors because of it. I had almost died a couple of times it was so bad and one night I had a really bad attack and I remember my father praying. He told my Mom that he felt led of the Lord to call the elders to come to our house and pray for me because the doctors had sent me home as there was nothing else they could do, so she called them. I remember a little time later they all gathered around me in my room and all anointed me with oil and started praying. Within just a few minutes, I was breathing fine and up and around. The very next day, my parents took me back to the doctor to have me checked out, and the doctor said to my parents and I that he had never seen anything like it. They did xrays and other tests and he said there were no signs of me ever having asthma, no scares in my lungs or anything and to this day, I have never had another problem with asthma. Praise to "MY GOD" because he is "ALL POWERFUL" and I thank him always for healing me. Another thing that happened was in the same church approx 1 year after the little girl was healed, I was in sunday school class and my mother was teaching the class I was in. We heard a lot of noise and stuff coming from upstairs and about that time, someone ran in the class and told my mother that an older gentleman that went to our church was upstairs in my fathers teaching class and had died. Of course we ran upstairs to see and sure enough, he was slumped over in his seat. There was a doctor that went to our church, he went out to his car and brought in his doctor bag and started working with man. After about 10 minutes he pronounced him dead and asked if someone would call the ambulance to take him away. The old man was very liked and his family was crying as were alot of us and my father spoke up and said to everyone "I feel like God is telling me that there is more for this man to do on earth, his work is not finished here just yet" so he called all the elders of the church together and anointed him with oil and started praying. Within just a couple of minutes, we all saw his eyes roll back in place, he started to breath and move a little and within about 10 minutes, he was walking around and praising God and so were we all. Let me tell you we had "REVIVAL" people. These are just a few of many things I have seen in my life and "NO ONE" can tell me that there is no "GOD"!!!! Neo-Darwinism, evolution, or anything else had anything to do with these miracle's. You can believe that "Jesus" shed his blood on the cross for our sins and that "By his stripes we ARE healed".-- posted by capricorn77X

A "no brainer"? By this you mean it only makes sense to those with no brains?

I agree with the religion part (fortunatly Christianity isn't a religion), however.
If you're happy to believe that is no God, then go for, but as Wendell said, don't push your beliefs onto us.
