Hi Rodolfo:

Have your tried Cal Tech in Pasadena, California? Their classes are smaller and they have their share of Nobel prize winners also. I think they are on a par with MIT.

About the position, no it is here at the University. I lectured before at the Institute, last time was from 1985 to 1990 and left somewhat disappointed by student's request to ease examination standards.
In retrospect it was a mistake on my side, I should have battled for quality. Anyway I am now willing again to teach though certainly financial rewards are almost nonexistent, only professional satisfaction which is no small thing.

I would have loved to have taken one of your classes. Too late now, though. Even the lessons presented in church seem to go in one ear and out the other.

You are right. There are a lot of nice things about teaching. I taught several courses in Statistical Troubleshooting, as well as Quality Improvement. I found the work very rewarding.
