» gusita - Relocations

Having just moved from california to south america, I can tell you that I experience a difference in myself beyond the given shock of readjusting to an unfamiliar, far-away place. It is as if I´m a cousin of my california personality, with aspects of myself coming up that I´m familiar with, but never had experienced as intensely, and viceversa.
I guess my question to anyone out there would be: how do we tap into aspects of our lives or personalities that seem "faded", and also, how does one find spiritual guidance in the midst of astrological chaos, such as a saturn oppositon neptune influence?

Concerning tapping into aspects of your life that seem faded, I am not sure what you mean by this. Could you be a bit more specific?

How does one find spiritual guidance in the midst of astrological chaos, such as Saturn in opposition to Neptune?

I would suggest first of all studying the keywords for these two planets and getting to know their essence on an inner level. What is the meaning of Saturn? What is the meaning of Neptune?

These meanings will be colored by your individual chart. Where is Saturn in your chart by sign and house and aspect? Where is Neptune? Are you talking here about a natal aspect or transiting planet to natal?

But -- to keep it simple -- consider Saturn as tradition, as authority, as a reality check, as the need to set boundaries and Neptune as imagination, as dreaming, as the need to dissolve boundaries. They are, obviously, two very opposite planets AND in opposition. So your spiritual lesson is balance.

In the sign and house where Saturn is found you will feel constrained to be real and to set limits. In the sign and house were Neptune is found you will want to dream and explore infinite possibilities.

Yet at the same time you will feel the pressure of the opposite planet. In the sign and house of Saturn, you will feel the pressure of Neptune to dream and explore the infinite. In the sign and house of Neptune, Saturn will urge you to set boundaries and put your feet on solid ground.

Where do you find the balance? By knowing that both are valuable and both are needed. By staying aware (this is why the opposition is called the aspect of awareness) of the need for both. With this opposition in effect, you cannot run off and be a dreamer, nor can you sit down and fold your arms across your chest determined to be a hard-headed realist. You must learn to dream realistically and to plan with imagination.

Wishing you "solid dreams"!

In response to message posted by Meredlune:

so kind of you to reply my post in such an informative way! thank you smile
I´m a gemini with a sag. moon, and saturn is in my 8th house (capricorn ascendant). In the last couple of months (and until mid december or so), saturn has been, as a passing influence, all over the place for me: in opposition to neptune, as I explained in the original post, in conjunction to jupiter, in conjuntion to the sun, and in trine with pluto.
I have experienced the influence in feeling pretty limited either to old patterns of thought or to outward influences. at times it has had a tinge of hopelessness to it, feeling like I won´t be able to transcend outward constraints any time soon, and at others it has felt more like discipline imposed by circumstance, if that makes any sense.
What I meant by "faded" earlier is missing a sense of playfulness and adventure that was more of a part of my life before the move- at least for me, this influence has been kind of dark and confusing at times.

thank you again for your insight-

Gusita,

The sense of fading you feel might very well be explained by Saturn conjunct your sun. The outer planets have a quite wide orb of influence. What degree is your sun at?

Also, with a Capricorn ascendant, Saturn rules your chart so I would expect the current Saturn/Pluto opposition with its attendant stresses would impact you more heavily than others.

One way to get back in touch with your playful side might be to look at the positive aspects to your sun and also at what you might do for fun in the house that Leo rules. Leo wants to be a fun and creative energy if given half a chance!

Otherwise, this is a time to work on stress management and meditation, stay calm and realize that this too shall pass.
