My nodes continue to allude me. The NN is 16Leoin the 9H and SN 16 AQ in the 3H. I think that means that I communicated with siblings, neighbors, close-by surroundings and NOW I'm supposed to teach and travel?????
All well and good in a spiritual way, but I tend to be practical.
Any suggestions?

Your north node in Leo suggests that in this life your best direction of spiritual growth will come through expressing your Self.
To put it another way, with Leo you have an inner need to release your Light out into the world. With your north node in the 9th house, you are working on this. It is more natural to you to be a part of the group, but now you are called to step out and state your own beliefs in a strong way.
We can teach or express who we are in many ways, the best being by example. The truest expression of a 9th house north node in Leo would be to live your beliefs.
More specifically, in the 9th house, you could express yourself through 9th house endeavors such as teaching or law, or through writing and through communication with others via the web (as now). All of these would involve (to fulfill your north node needs) clearly stating and living your own philosophy of life.
Also, remember that the 9th house is about expansion. So one practical approach to this would be to simply put yourself in an expansive mode in regard to learning about yourself and about life. Be adventurous and go out and explore whatever fascinates your mind. Before long, I am sure, you will find yourself teaching others about it as well.

I find the nodes qutie confusing. Could you please help me. My NN is in Cancer 1H. My SN is in Capricorn 7H. Also my boyfriend's nodes are in his 1st and 7th also. NN in 1H SN in 7H. The nodes will become less confusing if you keep a few simple principles in mind.
First, they are the nodes of the moon and the moon is about our past, our emotional heritage, all the habits and programming we carry with us.
Second, the nodes are opposite each other. So they are essentially about learning balance. The south node represents where you are something of an expert. It is the point you are coming from. The north node shows where you have something yet to learn. It is the point you are moving towards. However, in moving towards the north node, you don't want to completely neglect the south node or you will be out of balance again.
When you look at your specific chart, then, you see that you are an expert in Capricorn and moving toward a deeper understanding of Cancer. You are an expert in the seventh house and moving toward a deeper understanding of the first house.
What does it mean? As a first step toward understand, I suggest you sit down with some keywords for these houses and signs and see what they say to you in relationship to your life experiences.
Capricorn is the patriarch or leader or hermit, and his keynotes are responsibility and hard work. The guiding principle of this sign is completing the work, being responsible for the actions.
Your south node says you are an expert at this. In some area of your life you are very tough and hard on yourself. Now to work towards your north node, you need to open yourself up to the keywords of Cancer: mothering, nurturing, in other words, learning to love and accept yourself for who you are, not what you do or achieve.
The nodes in the houses function in much the same way. The seventh house is about a focus on relationships and other people. You are an expert at worrying about others. The north node in the first house says you need to develop some aspect of yourself as an individual apart from the crowd.

I have read some conflicting comments about the impact in my chart on my Nodes being:South Cancer 12th house - 22Can05
North Capricorn 6th house - 25CP29
the 12 house has been described to me as representing mental hospitals,prisons to being a place of dependency vs dominance,
this is very confusing of what the past here could mean and what lessons need to be learned.
Can you shed some light on the impact of the nodes in these houses/positions?

Dear Inanna,To strip this down to its barest essentials, your south node describes a past life heritage of privacy and introspection centered on concerns of self and family.
Your north node in Capricorn in the sixth house indicates your soul's intention to move more into the outer world in this incarnation and to become more engaged in bringing your talents to the service of others in daily life.

Reading through the discussion on the nodes, I venture to offer a modern approach from "Nodes of the Moon" by Rev. Alice Miller (me).In the present, lunar nodes relate to how our consciousness rises, and are based on attention. This is derived from attention patterns established in childhood.
Cardinal nodes are catalysts of growth, especially. Cancer-Capricorn. Cancer NN gets more attention in childhood, inclining it to remain dependent. Must grow up at Capricorn SN. Capricorn NN gets attention by being the adult, often losing much of childhood. In the end, Cancer SN must care for itself.
Fixed nodes create and maintain structure--body, shelter, etc. Leo-Aquarius refers to internal or invisible structure--spirit & mind. Leo NN is designed to take in spirit--Here attention is critical to survival. Starved Leo NN may act up or out, just to get that necessary attention. It can live on negative attention, but not on being ignored (Aquarius). Pay attention to inspiration, relative to your creativity.
