In response to message posted by Renie_Burghardt:Hi Renie, hasn't this weather been fantastic? I've been taking advantage of it and working some outside. Daddy gave me a cart load of beautiful mums to replant in my flower garden so hopefully I'll get that done tomorrow. I think Thursday we are suppose to have a chance of rain.
Thanks for coming by and meeting my parents. I think they're kinda special...Hugs

In response to message posted by AnneWatkins:Thanks Anne, I think they are kinda special myself. Daddy and Mama make good characters for any story. I've got a lifetime of stories about them. I guess I need to put it all down in writing so the future generations will have them. What do you think? Hugs...

In response to message posted by Italkr2:Aw shucks Sue! You make me blush...LOL When I was younger and mama was younger we would go shopping and it would make her day for someone to think we were sisters. They are a handsome couple and just celebrated 57 years of life together. Wonderful isn't it....thanks for coming by..hugs

In response to message posted by jerrib:LOL, yeap, it was a six point buck. You can't see the antlers but there were three little points on each antler. Just enough to be a six point buck. I wondered if anyone was going to question that. Honestly, that deer looks small but he sure put up one big fight coming up that hill to the house. Daddy was plumb tuckered out. You would really be surprised how strong an animal is when it is scared.
Thanks for coming by..hugs

» Red - great story...
Bert,This is a great story. If you remember, I read it after you first wrote it. It was just as good, second time 'round. I really enjoyed it.
Your Mom and Dad are a very handsome couple. Give them my regards the next time you see them. Hope all is well with you and the family. Take care and be safe. I heard there was some problems with a nuclear plant down your way. Hope they have it well guarded.

In response to message posted by Red:Hi Mary, Yeap, I wrote this right after daddy caught that deer. Never did anything with it and thought the readers would enjoy it.
I think my mom and dad are a handsome couple too. Course I'm not prejudice at all.
They have extra national guards around the plant and I was told they have armored tanks also. That is the one thing that has worried me is that nuclear plant. They told us we would have 15 minutes to move another 30 miles in order to be out of immediate danger if something happens. That means the instant it goes, we have to be on the road headed west as fast as we can travel. Everything within a 50 mile radius will be in a very dangerous zone. We are 20 miles from the plant. I believe that God will provide and protect.
I'll be writing to you soon...hugs
