» H2O - Maybe AFL stars now in the NFL? Maybe in the future you can take a look at AFL stars who went on to the NFL. Oronde Gadsden is probably going to be the most famous example--rookie of the year for Portland's Forest Dragons, he went from the AFL season to the Miami Dolphin training camp. From there he became a starter, catching passes from a certain Hall of Fame QB.-- posted by H2O » killerstorm - afl stars gone nfl you could include Johnny Harris and Cory Dowden.Harris 98 defenceive player of the year was signed by the Raiders.Dowden went to the Saints two years ago I belive.-- posted by killerstorm » H2O - The QB from IA The QB from Iowa was Kurt Warner, now on the St. Louis Rams' roster. Will you do a feature on John Fourcade? He played in the NFL, USFL, Arena, and now Regional Football League as player/coach. Who knows, he may even play games in the IFL, IFF, IPFL, and XFL before all is said and done. Did he play in the WFL? -- posted by H2O » PredFan - Thanks for the requests... I'm going to finish the AFL legends first before I start on new projects such as AFLers gone NFL. As for Harris and Dowden, they are well known to Storm and Predator fans but not too known outside of that.To be fair let me let everyone in on how I arrived at the choices for "Legend" status. It was voted on by a group of die-hard AFL fans from all over the country via the internet. Many of those people are even more dedicated to the AFL than I, and at least two are former players. Though Harris is probably the best cover man that the AFL has ever seen, he hasn't spent much time here. However, if I were to expand the list to maybe eighteen instead of twelve he would be in there somewhere. -PredFan -- posted by PredFan
