My name is John D. Klaers aka PredFan. I've been a fan of the AFL since 1991 when the Orlando Predators joined the league. Why should you care about the Arena Football League? Well of course you first must care about football, and if you do you now have a game to watch during the off-season.

First know that anyone associated with the league will readily say that our league is not competing with the NFL in any way. The game's slightly different and it plays in the summer.

The Arena game is designed to be faster paced and higher scoring. It is played indoors so the atmosphere is different too.

The players are those that didn't make it on an NFL team and in many cases they are still trying. However, the level of play is still high quality and not every NFL hopeful or ex-player can make it there.

I love football, always have, and I would like to say to you to check out a game on TV or in your local arena. If you too love football.
