Hassan Fathy Audio Web-cast - March 23,

As a part of the Centennial Celebration of Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy there will be a live audio Web-cast of a Forum entitled: Hassan Bey as We Knew Him. This Web-cast will be presented March 23, 2000, GMT 17:00-18:30. For information please connect to The American University in Cairo at http://www.aucegypt.edu. Hassan Fathy’s friends, colleagues, and students will be sharing their experiences with him, and will discuss his rich contributions to architecture.

As a part of the Centennial Celebration there will be two exhibitions at the University. “Selections from the Hassan Fathy Archives,” March 26 - July 31, 2000 and the Sony Gallery Photography Exhibit “Desert Architecture: Bariz and Sidi Kreir”, March 26 – April 27, 2000.
In addition this event will mark the opening of sections of the Hassan Fathy Archives for research. We hope you will be able to listen to the forum and learn more about Hassan Fathy's contributions to architecture.
