if arabs feel real sorrow for what happened, they should help the authorities by providing any terrorist information they might have.

the same way, afghanistan should arrest and surrender bin laden

have they done it so far?

If by "arabs" you're referring to Arab governments, all of them except one I believe have offered their support and of course sympathy. But I'm not going to speak on behalf of the governments of the world, check your news stations for that.
The focus of my article is on Arab-Americans and I hope when you say "if Arabs really want to help" you're not referring to Arabs living in America, many of whom were born and raised here, who have nothing to do with the terrorists, or the reactions of Arab governments. Holding Arab or Muslim-Americans, or even all Arabs and Muslims in the world, responsible for the actions of 30 or so people is ridiculous.

What we all need to do right now is stop pointing fingers at eachother. We are all humans and need to stick together in this time of need. Rememeber this happened to all of us. God Bless America and the rest of the world.

Sadly, it is not just "30 or so people." It's a worldwide network of terrorists in many countries, some in the middle east, others elsewhere, many of them supported and harbored by governments, and they are dedicated to destroying the hated "great satan," the U.S. I in no way condone the actions of people who turn on their neighbors--or strangers--because they are Arab American or Pakistani or Indian or whatever. These people should be ashamed of themselves because in their small way, they are terrorists also.

But to say that it is just "30 or so people" is a naive and vastly oversimplified characterization of a complex situation which cannot be dealt with unless it is looked at for what it is in all its convoluted nuances. Naive and emotional interpretations of the situation, regardless of ethnic background, are useless in solving difficult situations.

Right now all I can feel is sorrow for those lost and personally affected by this act, and then I feel tremendous anger at those responsible for it. I do not make distinctions right now, I am too angry, and when I read about or see Arabs, Palestinians, Iraqis, etc from Middle Eastern countries, all I feel is rage and disgust. I do not apologize for these feelings, I can't help thinking what the reaction would be in your countries had the situation be reversed, (which it soon will be), and Americans were walking around...first of all, we would not only be targets for your anger, we would more than likely be deported if we were lucky, or more likely, executed as is your wont in countries who have no respect for life, no center of being and no god. So don't be so quick to take offense because you are Middle Eastern and living in this country, you will be under intense scrutiny and will bear the brunt of anger at the actions of your own countrymen for a long time to come. If you don't like it, go back to the desert.

Well, let's see then. I am from Ireland, Germany, England and who knows how many other countries, since my genealogy isn't done yet. Should I be expected to take the blame for the war in Ireland, or the WWII actions of the Germans? I can't help where my ancestors came from, and I can't even take responsibility for everything my government or all white people do. I can only take responsibility for myself. Unless you are willing to shoulder the blame for every evil thing your race, religion and nationality has every done, be careful about expecting others to do so. Exchanging hate for hate is only perpetuating the problem and bringing tragedy to even more people. I prefer to challenge people to make this death mean something-make life better for everyone so no one becomes a terrorist. No one with hope choose terrorism as a path.
