Do I have to empty the whole tank and put in new water or do I just empty a portion and add a portion of water?

» Winston - Percentage of water change

Lory,

You should only change about 15% of the water in the aquarium. This percentage changes slightly depending on the frequency and biological load in your aquarium. If you remove too much water you risk disturbing the biological balance of the aquarium, and this can lead to disaster.

I am currently moving my 4 tiger oscars from 20 Gal to 125 Gal fish tank. I want to know what is the better filtration system I should have. Can I add 2 of more fishes to my new tank? What is the best comrade for Oscar?

Chung Wong,

Take a look at the other discussion topic. I posted a response there to your questions.

» Winston - Aquarium glass

From what I remember, you should get 1/4" glass for aquariums that are less than 50 gallons. If you are interested in glass for aquaruims that are larger, you should increase the thickness of the glass (up to perhaps 1/2").
