Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide: A Book ReviewRead the article this discussion is about

» jerrib - I wonder why some writers of such products use internet resources unless they intend to continually update them in their product. I know how quickly some of my article links have probably gone to the graveyard. I agree, a poorly written, sadly incorrect grammatical piece is not worth the link. Great review.-- posted by jerrib » Barbara Nicholson Bell - Re: I wonder In response to message posted by jerrib:I don't know if the publishers intend to have this e-book constantly updated, but that's not unusual for price guides. Many price guides I have on my bookshelf were originally published as long as 20 years ago, but periodically a revised price list is issued. The latest edition that you buy at the bookstore will have the latest prices. In fact, the real value of this e-book is in the identification, history, and pictures of 4000 clocks, and not so much the links. Yes, some of the links will go "bad", but most of them will remain useful. My concern is usually with the proofreading, Jerri! That's what old English majors usually end up doing... -- posted by Barbara Nicholson Bell » Sunbear - Antique clocks Hi Barbara,Enjoyed reading your article. My mother has an old clock that I would like to evaluate sometime. Best wishes, -- posted by Sunbear
