Hi Barbara,

A number of years ago, probably in the late 1970s, I visited the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky. The buildings were beautiful in their simplicity. I remember one that had a double cantilevered spiral staircase. I'd love to go back and see it all again. I noticed on their Web site that they have lodging at the Village. And the food in the dining room was well-known in the area for being excellent.

Always enjoy your articles.

Linda
