I love decorating for the holidays. I don't yet have all my decorations out of the attic. Somehow my husband (who does the work of getting them down) asked me to go shopping and it didn't get done last week-end! I may ask again this evening after reading your article. I can just picture your room and tree. I love Christmas!

» Fort_Spunky - Christmas Decorating

Barbara,

Your decorating scheme sounds beautiful. I love Arts and Crafts houses. Yours sounds lovely with its shades of green and natural oak. And I bet your red and gold tree is stunning in that setting.

I saw a great idea for extra ornaments at a wreath-making demonstration the other day. One of the samples was a wreath made using the teacher's grandmother's old Christmas tree ornaments. She said when her aunt gave them to her after her grandmother died, her aunt said, "These are so old you probably will want to just throw them away." Instead she made a charming wreath that holds many memories for her.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family this year.

Linda
