Hi Barbara! I personally love 1950s plastic. I'm not sure what the appleal is for me - affordability? Sturdyness? Bright colors? Nostalgia? But I have a bunch of Melmac that I use everyday and adore them. They take all the abuse I dish out and still look new. Too bad we don't make new stuff like that anymore.

Thanks, ladies! I was surprised to see messages posted to a four-year-old article, but anytime an old article is shown to still be of interest, that's great!
