» shannonmuir - Shannon Muir at GATHERING OF THE GARGOYLES

I've just been invited to be a panelist at the GATHERING OF THE GARGOYLES convention June 22-25th in Los Angeles, which is tied into the series Greg Weisman developed and is currently being discussed in my 3-part article series.

The panel I'll be on is scheduled for Sunday, and is geared to highlight people who began as amateurs and fans of the field who became/are on the verge of becoming professional.

The time looks like it'll be Sunday at 10AM, different than the current posted schedule.

» shannonmuir - Off to the GATHERING

In response to message posted by shannonmuir:

I'm off to the GATHERING OF THE GARGOYLES.

If you're relatively local, it's not too late to drop on by. They've gotten incredible last minute guests like Keith David and Cree Summer (both were in GARGOYLES, but Cree also was Princess Kida in Disney's ATLANTIS -- they haven't had time to put her on the website though).

It's an incredible four days with nearly 50 pros from all aspects of animation. A must for anyone serious about the craft.

See more information at http://gathering.gargoyles-fans.org

And of course I'll be part of the Sunday 10AM panel about going from animation fan to pro. It would be nice to meet some of you!

All the best,
Shan

» shannonmuir - After the GATHERING...

I totally had a phenomenal time. It was an opportunity not to be missed.

I plan to devote an upcoming article to Networking, where I'll discuss some of the advantages more in depth.

Best,
Shan
