» greatbigmama - Arican Yellow Head Parrot

I go Diablo two years ago and it has taken me until now to get him to let me scratch his head. He attacks anyone else that comes into the house. I leave his cage open at all times and he tolerates me and my Pomeranian (Rusty). He still doesn't trust me enough to get on my arm and he still seems to be a little bit afraid of me. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could tame him down a little so that he can live the rest of his live without being afraid of me and really be happy. He also chews his feathers, the vet I took him to was no help whatsoever. Could anyone give meany hints.

» Rangifer - training

Have you considered finding a favorite treat and working on clicker training? Clickers are used with many zoo and exotic animals that are not tame, to get them to perform simple behaviors that better allow their keepers to care for them.
