» connochies - Edwinsburgh????

Sorry but the idea that Edinburgh was named after Edwin of Northumbria is just a myth, based on the similarity between Edin and Edwin! The original Cymric [ie British] name for the Gododdin stronghold was Dun Eiddyn, and was named long before Edwin came on the scene. Edinburgh is only an anglicised form of this name, with the Gaelic form being Dun Eideann.
