» yeomanrycavalry - Ceorl and Yeoman

Contrary to what one member posted, a ceorl does have a wergeld (recompensation for the murder of a person rather than having a blood feud.)

The peasants wergeld is 200 shillings, nowhere near as much as a nobleman with 1200 shillings.

Houseceorl = Houseceorl = Huscarl = Charles = Churl = Carl = Houseservant = Yeoman??? (any comments would be appreciated).
