Avebury Hill: More Majestic Than Stonehenge: Amazing!

I was at Avebury in 2002 and those stones are absolutely amazing. Even more incredible is the dedication that people had to moving them there. I think I might have given up just looking at their sizes. So there must have been a very important reason to put them where they did or they could have just moved themselves to the stones and do what they were going to do with them at the quarry. My personal opinion is that the positions on the earth marked by stones is the key and stones were secondary in importance, although at least one study I've heard of says some stones in circles make low level sounds at dawn.
