» amigasmith - GW2K / Amiga PROTEST Site I have been a Amiga Nut since 1987 and I havenever felt the need to PROTEST like I have over the way Gateway DUMPED the Amiga. Check out http://Thanks.Amiga.TM It will give you a laugh!!! Also contains some Long Live the Amiga .... Jerry Smith -- posted by amigasmith » MetalJoe - Amusing site :-) Good site to find out how you can register your annoyance with the Gateway/Amiga situation. I urge everyone who hasn't yet written to Gateway to do so immediately. However, PLEASE I urge you all to be polite but firm. Mention to Gateway that they have lost out on a very powerful concept, and a large market that is opneing up. I can't be the only one who had non-Amiga using friends all hyped up and ready to buy the new Amigas, and even got significant interest from the company I work for. Factor in all the media interest, and you then realise that the latest decision has caused all that potential to be lost. At least Gateway/Amiga have permitted licensing and hopefully projects such as Phoenix will capitalise on this to forge the vision of the new Amigas that should have been. -- posted by MetalJoe » Amipal - RE: Amusing site :-) No John, you weren't the only one. I got at least nine people interested in it, with five of those wanting to buy one. Not bad for some vapor specs and the promise of backward compatibility...Amiga's plans for the MCC gained a lot of media attention too. It almost makes me cry looking at past news stories. No surrender, no retreat -- posted by Amipal
