Hi paramnesia03,

Yes. I can relate to it. I grew up in east central Indiana and have experienced being "snow-bound." The details of our family activities were different, but the overall ambience of the poem is similar: the isolated feeling, the interruption of regular routine, and the ultimate digging out. I enjoy the poem for giving me back my experience.
