My mother has Lewy body disease. LBD is the second most common form of dementia after Alzheimer's. Patients suffer cognitive loss similar to Alzheimer's as well as physical debilitation like Parkinson's.I've created a website with information about LBD and caregiving and chronicling my mother's illness at Lewy Body Journal, http://www.lewybodyjournal.org. A lady who attended my Alzheimer's support group was her husband's caregiver and she thought all along he had Alzheimer's. Then when he died she had an atopsy done and discovered that it was Lewy Body disease.
