» dlstang - excellent advice!

Hi Brenda,

I work at a facility specializing in the care of people with Alzheimer's, and your advice is right on the money. When the war started, the staff agreed to keep the television tuned to TV Land or ESPN or something equally innocuous and watch CNN only on our breaks. It worked well, and I think our residents came through without too much emotional trauma from the war.

In response to message posted by dlstang:

Thank you, Debra. Alzheimer's patients often become upset so easily by their own hallucinations or delusions, and they don't need bad news complicating all that even more. You all were wise, and I'm glad it worked out so well.
