» TracyMoore4 - Airhitch: As good as it looks?

Have you had personal experience using Airhitch? I'm wondering if the fares are really going to be so low once I pay the membership fee and enter the actual site.

I'm looking to travel to London next year, just before the tourist season begins. I'm self-employed and can be very flexible with travel dates and times. Do you think Airhitch is a good source for me?

I have not had any personal experiences with Airhitch. I have been told they can be difficult to reach for scheduling, especially when you want to return from Europe. I have, however, used Air-Tech. They are quite cheap and your return date is written on your ticket when you check in. Of course everything is standby.
Good luck and have fun!

To Whom it may concern:

i bought a ticket from usa to australia through airhitch.com a couple of years back by buying a lifetime membership. i will be taking a trip soon and thought i would go look it up and see if i could get another ticket through them, but it redirected me to airhitch.org. so i went there, and found a chat room i could go to, so i thought i would just ask if theyre the same company. if not, i figured, w/e, i got such a good deal on my first ticket, no money wasted.

i stayed in there for a little under 5 minutes, and left cause i had other things to do, and it wasnt any high priority. about 10 minutes after i left, i got an aol instant message from one of the airhitch people, and this was my conversation: (these are the screenshots of my conversation.)

i cannot believe it became such a big deal, all i did was ask a yes or no question, and i got a freakin lecture! about something totally unrelated to my question! but you can believe i will be taking my money elsewhere.

I have already reported this to the Better Business Bureau, and will be looking for other places to post this same letter. I will also be telling anyone i know, and anyone i hear who is considering airhitch.org, to go elsewhere. That is atrocious. I have 10 years of customer service experience in my career, and i would expect to be fired for treating any customers like that, online or not.
