» Red - The Move of a Lifetime...

James, what a delightful article. Your topic has great potential and I look forward to visiting often.

I have only enjoyed the beauty of Alaska through friends and documentaries. I hope one day to visit. Until then, I will relax and enjoy it through your topic.

I am hosting a Nature's Treasures Event and this would be a welcome addition. Hope to see you there.

» katzplanet - Great Topic!

I have always had a fascination with Alaska, and I'm really going to enjoy hearing all about it from your perspective, having recently moved there. I know what you mean about preconceived notions! If I didn't know people personally who had lived there, and had to rely on what I saw on TV and over the internet, I'd have completely different ideas of the state than I do now.

I hope to visit Alaska someday, but until I do, I'll look forward to your articles.

Hello James,

Your portrait of Alaska sounds like paradise. You really give the feel of what Alaska really is. It almost makes me want to pack up my bags and move to Alaska. The wild life and mountains sound awesome! Thanks.

» SandyMcC - Howdy Neighbor!

Yep, been there done that, but still.... I'm in awe every day when I get up and look out the window. No matter how many times I see an eagle take a salmon or gaze over the snowy crags from the top of Brown Mountain, I never get used to it. It's always just as amazing as the first time I saw it. Interacting with the color and character of the locals is an experience in itself. You wrote it beautifully.

Check out my bio, we have much in common! smile
