Hi,

It has been a rough couple of weeks since I last posted. Trouble with the mortgage and two equally idiotic and intractable parties - SONYMA and Citibank - holding me and the mortgage hostage. Citibank refusing to write and send a 2 sentence fax although they would provide the required information by phone and it's public knowledge - and SONYMA refusing to accept the information by phone. Aggggh. Finally got that worked out and now am waiting for the lawyers to set a closing date. Spent the past two weeks in an over-priced motel crying and being scared and frustrated while my small financial cushion faded away. Finally the owners took pity on me and let me move into the house on Sunday, so I am here. It's not quite mine yet, but I love it and think it will be a happy healing place for me.

I hope that once I am settled, I can find a new venue where we can gather again. I'll let you know. Meanwhile, be well and happy.

Much love,

Big changes really are scary, especially for people like us, but they are usually worth it. Since you and your husband are friends, perhaps he would be willing to help you through the process of establishing yourself apart from him.

I'm hoping that once I settle in, that I can find some work that I can do from home to supplement the DSL. Maybe you can find something like that. Or maybe you can talk to a counselor or someone in Social Services to see if they can help you make a move towards autonomy.

You are definitely in my prayers. Keep me posted on how things go.

Blessings and Love,
