like a journey I could do without, but your description was most entertaining.We once stayed in an old hotel by a ski area in Washington that probably used to be a brothel and now has a rollicking tavern on the first floor (had no idea). We didn't get much sleep that night. But we didn't have bugs and scary things to contend with, plus the darkest of dark nights you describe.
I hope your destination is better - this doesn't sound like much fun. However, your tale is certainly portrayed with finesse.
