» EUGENIA62 - Introduction

My desire is to start a column that will encourage
and motivate people of Faith to act in a way that
will ensure a more positive future for mankind.

I am first and foremost a citizen of the physical
world, who believes that the teachings and practice
of the unique man, called Jesus are worthy of the
consideration of ALL MANKIND, if we are to achieve
peace and prosperity.

In this regard, the Bible tells us that angels from announced the unique birth of Jesus and promised goodwill to all men (women).

Recently, on United Nations Day(24 Oct 2002)I had
the unique privilege of launching the Making-A-Difference (MAD) Gospel for peace, reconciliation and prosperity at the Oliver Goldsmith School in Peckham in south east London. The Launch which took
the form of an inter-faith Seminar,in cooperation
with the Experience Corps where I currently serve as an Animator, aimed at exploring community development and self esteem during Black History
Month.

The spirit behind the meeting which attract a fair representation of opinion leaders from Faith
groups, could be summarized in the words of our
Chief Executive, Dr Maggie Semple:'Black History Month is now one of the most important events in the black community's calender.I'm delighted that
as part of that Edward is holding such a challenging seminar to explore ways in which we can work together for the common good in our communities. Through our work at the Experience Corps we aim to embrace all aspects of modern, multicultural and multifaith England.'

Our aim at the end of that Seminar was to examine the relevance of Jesus of Nazareth to all FAITH groups in the world. Participants concluded that
the initiative should be promoted among all men and women of Faith, especially in the coming festive season.

Readers and fellow columnists are invited for their comments, ideas and advice.
