» Ognyen - A Great Way to Go! My son graduated from public school with his peers, but my daughter began home-schooling as a fourth grader. We pulled her for two main reasons. She came home from school most days with headaches from the noise-level, and she was quite bored. Her teacher even said she knew anything she was asked, but her reading of non-class-related books during the instruction was hard for the teacher to deal with. She loved the homeschool environment, and was quite self-motivated. She had a big hand in developing her own curriculum. How many public school students can say they've had Latin? Anyway, she finished her schooling through a correspondence high school (American School), and graduated three years ahead of her peers. She's currently a 17-year-old sophomore in college, with an all-tuition-paid scholarship. The great thing about that is she earned it herself, through test-scores! If you get a chance, try to find the song, "Homeschool Girl" by the band called B.O.B. (Bunch of Believers). I think it was written about my daughter. Home-Schooling works, but it might take some work on the parents' parts! -- posted by Ognyen
