IMPULSIVITY IN TEENAGERS

» needinghelpbadly - Trying to understand this problem I have a 15 year old son who loves basketball. He has so much trouble fitting in with other kids. But only when he plays basketball. He was diagnosed with ADHD many year ago, but (without the help of medication) seems to have grown out (if there is such a thing) of it. But maybe he hasn't. I have often wondered why he would say the most horrible things to his friends. Not that he doesn't like them, but it seems to me that things for him go quickly from thought to word. This is causing him a lot of problems in school with his team. He truly likes his team members, but so often says things that make the kids not want to be around him. Has anyone experienced this and can give me some feedback. I do have a appointment with a pscyhologist next week. Thanks. -- posted by needinghelpbadly
