I agree, generally, with your comments. I say "generally," because I disagree with your enthusiasm for Marshall Mather's win for Best Song. I applaud your comments on Michael Moore's on-stage performance. Did you see Liz Smith's story on the rumor that Gore Vidal wrote the speech? He, predictably, denied having written it but said he agreed with Moore's comments. I thought, despite some of my own disappointments at the outcome, that the show itself was quite enjoyable -- as a show -- though, like you, I thought the show's producers could have been a bit more creative in the presentation of its alumni and for not trying to persuade more of them to show up.
