» Devereaux73 - Nice. . . What a great article.I'd like to know your predictions for the Oscar race. I don't feel that Far From Heaven is going to get the Oscar buzz that everyone is anticipating. Oscar doesn't do well with gay-themed movies, exception being The Crying Game, so I'm not confident in them giving a Best Picture Oscar to FFH. I also look at that film as being comparable to In the Bedroom. People praised it, and it was a brilliant film, but the voters went with a money-maker. So who knows. I definitely think that Scorsese is going to win the Best Director Oscar on sentiment. He's been robbed before, and it's a shame to have the man who is heralded as our greatest living director not be an Oscar winner. Such politics. I don't know what to think of it.
