Male who doesn't want to breed

I have a Miniature Schnauzer who has bred before. We attempted to breed him again to the same female. He just wasn't interested in her. She tried to dominate him and he would let her do that. However, he just would lay down and not show any interest in her.

I am just beginning this process and would appreciate any input from expert breeders.
