» Barbara Nicholson Bell - Inspiring!

Once again, Georgene, you inspire me to spend these dark snowy days thinking about the ways I can improve my landscape. Last year I consulted a local landscaper and asked him to help by coming up with a plan. He was less than useless as he is not a "Planner", but I did end up hiring him to mow the lawn weekly! LOL!

We did make a beginning by replacing the old fence and clearing out many old shrubs and overhanging branches to open up the space.

This year I will use my own creativity, consult lots of books, observe the neighbors, and make my own plan! smile

Barbara,

Thanks for the kind words :+) It is nice to be able to use what experience I have helping others to reach some sort of landscaping goal.

Well it was great that you found someone to mow the lawn! I have an article on my backburner about choosing local landscapers. Maybe I should just take it off the burner, stir in a few more tidbits, and offer it up for comsumption!

Seriously, as much as I hate to come down hard on this portion of the burgeoning green industry your experience is a problem that affects many homeowners. Homeowners, especially first timers, simply don't know where to turn.

There was snow here again last night, and predictions are for extreme cold and more snow. I like to think my plants are cozy under their heavy blanket of snow. Cheers!
