Last I had heard was that both the girls had married and move to the U.S. (whether that is true I had no idea)..I have all of their music videos..(the four that they made)..and I still collect anything I can find on them..I even have the duet they did "LOVER" with Paris Black...as well as various other items... I was suppose to go see them in concert way back when...as they were the opening act for PLATINUM BLONDE , but then all of the sudden the concert(s) got cancelled..so I never did get to see them live....Please update me on what they are doing and how the new cd is coming along..I am so looking forward to it.. here is my email kirkbulmer@hotmail.com as well as my phone number 514 527 6808 My best to you -- posted by TUFanMontreal » Ninjawitch - Glad Tu Is Coming Back, NOW I Can FINALLY Get My Photo Signed :) I live in Southern Ontario and since the 80's as well I've been a huge fan of Amanda & Cassandra i.e. TU.For the longest time I've been collecting stuff on them, as a fan would naturally do, I have this big wall poster got from Sam The Record Man promoting "Stay With Me" and "The Language Of Love" with the girls in boxing gloves. I also got a black and white TBA photo of them but had asked for it to be signed, but they forgot so I sent it back to them but the girls have been busy. Ever since I have been on a 20 year wait to have them sign it. Even IF they come back I can't come to them since I'm in a wheelchair from a motor vehicle accident now, but I could send the photo off to them once they find an agent or a record company that can forward the photo so I can FINALLY get it signed after all these years. Luba', 'Alannah Myles', Holly Cole' ect. and they would finally complete my Canadian ladies in pop and rock signed collection. So here's hoping they return, their success was cut short and it shouldn't have been. Like another poster on here, I have all their videos including the cameo on "Fire" with Platinum Blonde and when they did "The Language Of Love" and "Stay With Me" On the 'Canadian Easter Seals Telethon" as well as numerious appearances on local Toronto music magazine shows like 'Video Singles with Samantha Taylor' on CFMT TV and 'Toronto Rocks with John Major' on CITY TV in the afternoons when I then lived in Toronto as well as a few national broadcast shows like Good Rockin Tonight with Terry David Mulligan, and I also have all their singles (Including the fold out mini poster wis my favouriteurite) and both albums on vinyl (Untouched) and CD's. TWICE! I never knew they were in any concerts, since I had asked TBA and RCA that handled TBA management as well as CITY TV and their newly launched Much Music station at 99 Queen Street West at the time regularly at the time to keep me posted, so I had no clue. I remember Mark Holmes of Platinum Blonde made a surprise and quiet visit to a Toronto Star Trek Convention one 80's summer and I was on security details at the time, when I was more healthy. They had wanted to look and take photos of them at an TOS Enterprise bridge mockup. The first question I had asked was about Mark's hairstyle look and his white jacket in "Standing In The Dark" the second was because of the band's involvement with Tu, if he knew if the girls had decided if they were going on tour (Since they were backup on "Fire" he would know about them). But he said to ask their management and that he didn't know, and he was somewhat unsettled. So since then I've been in a holding pattern awaiting the final piece of the puzzle to be put together, either to get the press photo signed or a signed photo from them. I LOVE to meet them in person, but I doubt they would ever want to meet me in the shape I'm in now. I will walk again but it is a long road ahead for me, maybe one day if they are still touring I will meet up with them and see them in person. But it is hard for a person with multiple disabilities to wait in line for a ticket and then to watch a band person perform when your lower than most people bouncing up and down at a concert because your eye sight is at waist level :-) But if they ever DO go on tour again I hope they play Kitchener! Rap Vs. Rap The Answer Album.I am probably one of the few who still has this origional Cassette from 1987. It's one of my favorites and has even survived two car wrecks over the past 17 years. I've been trying to find a replacement Cassette or CD myself. The album is "Rap Vs. Rap, the Answer Album" and was put out by Priority Records, Inc. in 1987.
