My cat has the same problem. Did you find out anything about yours? Mine is black, short hair, neutered, indoor and 5 years old.

I had this same problem for the last year with our, now, 14 year old female cat. The vet put her on Ovaban, which helped a little. The loss was on the legs and then the stomach. This entire situation has reversed itself completely and the cat looks great since I added a food called Natural Balance to our two cats` diets. This particular cat does not care for canned food and ate only Flint River Ranch, which agreed with her for a long time. But perhaps there is something in this new food she was not getting that she needed! I bought it because the dogs liked the Natural Balance dogfood.I still keep Flint River Ranch for the cats, too. This is our third bag of Natural Balance so it takes a while to really see total reversal. I hope this helps someone else`s cat!!

I also started piercing a vitamin e capsule and giving the cat the contents a couple times a week. So if you try Natural Balance and the vitamin e it might work for your cat`s hair loss!

same with mine... it happened a while ago same places - near teets and sides of hind legs- and grew back but noticed a small patch last night. when i touched it she wasn't bothered. looks like she may have dry skin around it? i have another cat and he's fine so it's not this ringworm thing. did you ever find anything out?

I was wondering if you have any more information on your cats hair loss? I have two cats that have been loosing hair for over a year now. We have had them at two different vet's and all kinds of tests but still no answers. The vet now wants to send them to an animal skin vet which will cost at least $600 per cat....

» ex0r - My cat

I've been having a problem with my cat for a few months now.. My sister picked up a stray cat that was terribly infested with fleas and etc and gave him treatment and it went away, and than we moved into a house that we later found was previously inhabited by two dogs with mange.

Now my cat is almost completely bald. Her back legs, and near the back of her body, and parts of her tail, and up towards the front of her is almost completely bald, and I cannot figure out the problem. The other cat shows no signs of balding, only MY cat.

I've been decisive about it being mange or something else, but I can't quite afford to pay 300 at the vet to have her diagnosed for such things.

Any advice would be helpful.
