» investorquest - Getting Back To The Purpose Of This Board

The exchange of ideas for small cap penny stocks with potential for greatness.
I would like to suggest a company that is near & dear to me: Phoenix Media Group PXMG on OTCBB.
I created the company's two websites http://www.manfredmoose.com and http://www.phoenixmediagroup.com
So I have to admit that I am a little excited about the following:
This morning it was announced that PXMG acquired a 50% interest in four TV stations in Georgia, and this on top of an announcement last week that the Manfred Moose character has been given the nod for his own daily TV show.
PXMG currently trades under $0.10, but with this type of recognition, who knows. There was a purple dino that started out the same way, on local TV, his rights recently sold for over 200 million and he was not in a public company.
Check the two websites and make your own choice.

Thanks, IQ, for doing a splendid job conducting this contest.

Geez, for the first time in my life, I picked a stock that went way up in one year's time. Too bad I didn't have any real money on it!

Any more results like this one, maybe I should quit my day job. <img src=/images/emoteicons/happy.gif alt=smile>

That should probably be in the penny stock thread.

Are you hyping it or do you have a genuine interest in this pink sheet company with no data?

In response to message posted by Kirk:

No hype - they are a profitable company that is fully reporting and expects to be listed on the OTC once all the paper work is done - maybe a week or two.

They have over 800 installations of one of their products - Under Vehicle Inspection System - including NATO headquaters and The U.N. headquaters

» 2win - your thoughts on SPTM.OB

I've never invested in a penny stock, so I'd like some advice. I'm looking at Spectrum Laboratory - SPTM.OB

Positive points:
Spectrum Laboratory Network provides services in a large and reputable local area hospital, so I know it isn't a phantom company.
The company has many job offers on its website and at the State Employment Security Commission office.
The current price is about half the book value.
The company is making a profit.
It is at the 52-week low.

From the "moving average" perspective, the last point is a reason NOT to buy. But my (simplistic?) rationale favors the buy-low-sell-high strategy.

No shares sold/bought today. Avg daily volume is 45. Is this a reason for concern? What else should I look at? Your thoughts, please.

» BUGS99 - mother nature will appreciate it!

I realy think BUGS.OB could be a little gem.
Just do some intense research on your own.
This company came this far, so I think they are gonna make it.
Hopefully they will, for the sake of our environment and my bucks.....
Even a little iraq war fantasy can come up:

BUGS.OB could be a good play after the fires of the oil fields are out. They have already received permission to receive soil samples from around the world, they could use their technology to clean up the mess.

New Mexico Software To Launch First Retail Product
Tuesday December 23, 8:59 am ET
TAOS Image Finder Offers User-Friendly Image Cataloging and Search Tool

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Dec. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- New Mexico Software, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NMXS - News) announced today plans to release its first ever retail product, the Taos Image Finder software package for Windows 2000, XP and Mac OS X. The launch is scheduled for February 16, 2004.
TAOS provides a low-cost solution for organizing, cataloging and searching images based on the color and shape of an image, rather than by searching by keywords. TAOS will be available in two versions, basic and professional, suited for amateur digital camera enthusiasts and desktop publishing professionals.

TAOS incorporates a powerful search engine, which offers numerous ways to find images in an image database. Images can be searched based on color criteria, similarity to a chosen image in the database, similarity to an externally supplied image or by name. Moreover, image viewing uses required 3-D graphics hardware to provide spectacular special effects. For more in- depth details on each feature or technical specifications, please go to http://www.nmxs.com.

New Mexico Software's VP of Product Development and Technology, Rafael Rubio, said, "Based on our AssetWare(TM) digital imaging software, our in- house software development teams have created an easily accessible and powerful software package for individuals and small businesses who work with graphical files. This is a new type of graphic package never before available as a retail product. We're excited about the launch and we're confident consumers will find TAOS Image Finder to be an indispensable tool for their organizational needs."

New Mexico Software is a leading provider of next generation digital asset management solutions. NMXS is the only public company providing full professional services for companies to better digitize, encode, store, manage, license and distribute digital files with 100% owned and operated software. The company now offers two software products, including the Digital Filing Cabinet and AssetWare(TM), which provides enterprise-level digital asset management.

Disclosure, I do own a small position in this stock.
